To ensure safe use and prevent electric shock, fire, or damage, please follow these important guidelines:

DO NOT:

  • Microwave, Dishwasher, or Freeze: Do not place the pitcher in the microwave, dishwasher, or freezer.
  • Disassemble or Modify: Do not attempt to disassemble, repair, or modify the pitcher.
  • Submerge: Avoid submerging the entire pitcher in water (only the cover is washable).
  • Operate if Malfunctioning: Do not use the product if you notice any abnormalities or malfunctions.
  • Touch Plug with Wet Hands: Avoid touching the power plug with wet hands, as this can cause electric shock or fire.
  • Overcharge: Do not leave the pitcher charging for more than 5 hours or overnight.
  • Allow Children to Operate: Keep the pitcher out of reach of children and do not allow them to operate it.
  • Use Additives: Avoid using carbonated beverages, alcohol, or any additives (such as tea) in the pitcher.
  • Use High-Temperature Water: Do not use water above 140°F (60°C).
  • Move During Operation: Avoid moving the pitcher while it’s generating hydrogen.
  • Use Harsh Cleaners: Do not clean the interior with chemical detergents, as this may damage the hydrogen generator.

Beware sign.PNG Additional Safety Instructions

To prevent electric shock, fire, or potential injury, please follow these guidelines carefully:

  • Remove Moisture Retention Caps: Always take off the moisture retention caps before using the pitcher.
  • Charging Specifications: Use only DC 5V power with a maximum of 2A. Never charge the pitcher with a higher voltage or amperage.
  • Limit Charge Time: Avoid exceeding a 5-hour charge time and never leave the pitcher charging overnight.
  • Keep Oxygen Outlet Clear: Ensure the oxygen outlet on the bottom of the pitcher is unobstructed.
  • Use Certified Parts: Only use manufacturer-approved replacement parts and charging cables.
  • Avoid Dry Operation: Running the pitcher without water can damage the electrodes.
  • Proper Cleaning Solutions: Use only citric acid or white vinegar to clean the pitcher.
  • Avoid Harsh Cleaners: Never use chemical detergents to clean the interior, as they can damage the electrodes and degrade performance.
  • Exterior Cleaning: Only use water to clean the outside of the pitcher. Chemical cleaners may discolor or damage the exterior.
  • Rehydrate Electrodes if Unused: If the pitcher has been unused for a week or longer, or if electrodes are completely dry, heat 1 cup of filtered water in a microwave-safe container for about 2 minutes and pour it into your pitcher (use caution, the water will be hot!). Run a 10-minute cycle with the hot water. Once the cycle is complete, empty the water, add fresh filtered water, and run another cycle. This refreshes the generator membranes and helps boost bubble production.

Getting Started with Your Echo Hydrogen Water Pitcher

Before First Use

  1. Remove Moisture Retention Caps:

    • Open the top cover and locate the two electrode moisture retention caps inside the pitcher.
    • Unscrew and remove these caps; they prevent the electrodes from drying out during shipping.
    • Note: If you plan to store the pitcher unused for more than a week, refill the electrodes with water and secure the caps in place to maintain electrode quality. Always remove these caps before the next use.
  2. Cleaning for First Use or Extended Storage:

    • If this is your first use or if the pitcher hasn’t been used for over a week, follow the recommended cleaning procedures.
    • Open the top cover and fill the pitcher with filtered water, such as Reverse Osmosis (RO) or Distilled Water, to prepare for hydrogen generation.

Hydrogen Generation Cycles

Button Activation: When making your selections be sure to warm your hands (the sensor is heat activated) and lightly place your finger on the Hydrogen Water sensor until the pitcher is activated (may take 5-10 seconds). Avoid pressing down firmly, as this may prevent the sensor from recognizing activation.

10-Minute Cycle
(Standard Hydrogenation- Approximately 1.03 ppm)

  • Press and hold the Hydrogen Water sensor for 2 seconds; the BLUE LED will light up and display a 10-minute timer.
  • The pitcher will automatically turn off after 10 minutes. Note: It’s normal for the BLUE LED to flash during this cycle.

20-Minute Cycle (Enhanced Hydrogenation- Approximately 1.44 ppm)

  • For a higher concentration of hydrogen, press the sensor twice. The GREEN LED will light up and display a 20-minute timer.
  • The pitcher will automatically turn off after 20 minutes. Note: The GREEN LED will flash throughout this cycle.

Both cycles produce hydrogen-enriched water with an Oxidation-Reduction Potential (ORP) of approximately -450mV*. With either cycle option, you can enjoy a refreshing and unique hydrogen-enriched water experience whenever you want.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide for Your Echo Hydrogen Water Pitcher

Regular Self-Cleaning Cycle

  1. Activate Cleaning Cycle:

    • Lightly place your finger on the cleaning sensor for 5 seconds. This sensor is heat-sensitive, so make sure your finger is warm to properly activate it and do not press down. The RED LED will flash throughout this cycle.
  2. Best Practice:

    • For optimal performance, run the cleaning cycle weekly.

Cleaning Tips

  1. Regular Exterior Cleaning:

    • Use a soft cloth or sponge with water to clean the outside of the pitcher, keeping water away from the power terminal and battery.

  2. Long-Term Odor Prevention:

    • Over time, the electrodes may develop an odor that doesn’t impact the taste or hydrogen quality of the water. Periodic cleaning helps minimize any smell and maintain performance.

Descaling Process

For optimal electrode health, descale the pitcher once or twice a month (depending on your water’s mineral content):

  1. Descaling Solution:

    • Mix 1 part white vinegar, lemon juice, or citric acid with 3 parts water.
    • Pour the solution into the pitcher and let it soak overnight.
  2. Rinse Thoroughly:

    • The next day, dump the solution and rinse the pitcher thoroughly with warm water before using.

Following these steps will keep your Echo Hydrogen Water Pitcher performing at its best and ensure a clean, fresh hydration experience!
