The lids on your flask have a unique design that’s a little different from the traditional screw or threaded lids. Instead, it features tabs inside—kind of like a pressure cooker—that “lock” into place as pressure builds up.
Getting to Know Your Lid
- Over time, the lid will naturally become easier to remove as it breaks in.
- It might take a little practice at first, but you’ll be a pro in no time!
How to Smoothly Remove the Lid
-
Release the Pressure:
- Before attempting to open the lid, press the marked “o” on the lid to release any built-up pressure.
-
Unlock the Lid:
- Push down gently on the lid and twist it to the left to unlock it.
- As a precaution, avoid placing your fingers under the lid while twisting, as the bottom edge may feel pointed. Instead, grip the sides of the lid securely while twisting.
Here's a quick demonstration on how to remove the lid (Time 2:32), take out the gasket/seal (Time 0:39), properly reinsert it (Time 1:04), and then how to put the lid back on (Time 2:18).
