FAQ: Can I Use Tap Water in My Echo Flask?
The short answer is: Yes, you can technically use tap water in your Echo Flask, but we strongly discourage it—and here’s why:
- Unknown Chlorine Content:
Tap water often contains chlorine (and other yucky contaminants and toxins), which can impact the water quality. Long-term exposure to certain chlorine by-products has been linked to health concerns, so it’s worth avoiding when possible. - Mineral Buildup Issues:
Tap water typically contains high levels of minerals that can accumulate inside your flask. This buildup reduces the flask’s performance and increases the frequency of descaling maintenance. - Healthier Alternatives Are Tested & Trusted:
Our product testing has been exclusively conducted with RO (reverse osmosis) or distilled water, both of which are free from impurities like chlorine, toxins, and excess minerals. Spring water or filtered/purified water works great as well! Using these water types ensures your Echo Flask delivers the purest, healthiest, and highest-quality hydrogen-enriched water possible! These water options protect your flask and ensure you’re sipping on the cleanest, healthiest water every time.
