👎🏼 Nope, hydrogen water isn’t H₃O or H₄O.
Hydrogen water is water (H₂O) that has had molecular hydrogen gas (H₂) added to it. The extra hydrogen gas has potential health benefits, mainly because it acts as an antioxidant.
H₃O, on the other hand, is something completely different. It’s called a hydronium ion, which forms when a water molecule picks up an extra proton (H⁺). You’ll find it in acidic solutions, and it’s more about chemistry than drinking water.
As for H₄O, it’s not really a thing you’d come across in real life. It’s sometimes mentioned when people talk about clusters of water molecules or theoretical structures, but it’s not stable.
So, in short, hydrogen water is all about dissolved hydrogen gas—not the hydronium ion or anything related to acidity.
