Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your Echo Flask™. Follow the instructions below for effective cleaning:

Procedure

1. Prepare the Cleaning Solution

  • Mix 1 part white vinegar or citric acid with 3 parts water.
  • Avoid using apple cider vinegar or any non-recommended cleaning solutions.

2. Soak the Generator

  • Pour the cleaning solution into your Echo Water bottle.
  • Run 1 cycle to pull the solution into the generator.
  • When the cycle is over, let the solution soak for an additional 2–3 hours.
  • For stubborn buildup, odors, tastes, or grime, allow your bottle to soak overnight.

3. Final Rinse

  • Discard the cleaning solution.
  • Rinse the bottle thoroughly with warm, filtered water.
  • Fill the flask with clean water and run a 1-2 cycles to flush out any remaining cleaning solution.
  • Discard the water after the cycle(s) is complete.

4. Clean the Gasket

  • Use tweezers to remove the gasket/seal from the lid carefully. Ensure you do not puncture or damage the gasket/seal.
  • Rinse the gasket/seal thoroughly under warm water, removing any debris or buildup from the gasket/seal and the area of the lid it covers.
  • Reinsert the gasket/seal into the lid. For the Echo Flask™ ensure the “line” side faces inward when positioning it back in place.

4. Final Operation

  • Once the bottle, lid, and gasket/seals are clean, fill the bottle with filtered water.
  • Your Echo Flask™ is now thoroughly cleaned, descaled, and ready for regular use. Perform this deep cleaning process as directed to maintain your Echo Water bottle's optimal performance and cleanliness.
