💧 Solution Preparations

Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl) Preparation

1. Fill the Bottle:

   • Add TAP WATER to the fill line in your bottle. Do not use filtered, RO, or distilled water as the chlorine in the tap water is necessary for activation.

2. Start the Machine:

   • Press the power button. You should hear a beep, and the indicator light at the base will flash with colored lights, indicating that the machine is operating normally.

3. Completion:

   • Once the disinfectant is made, the machine will automatically stop and turn off. The buzzer will sound three times to indicate that the disinfectant is ready.

The function of Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl) in Echo Clean:

1. Disinfection:

   • HOCl is a highly effective disinfectant that kills a wide range of pathogens, including bacteria, viruses, and fungi. It is particularly known for its gentleness on surfaces while being tough on germs, making it suitable for sanitizing surfaces that come into contact with food, skin, or sensitive areas.

2. Safety:

   • HOCl is non-toxic and safe for use around people, pets, and food. It is naturally produced by the human immune system, which means it is effective without being harmful, making it ideal for daily use in homes, schools, and healthcare settings.

3. Odor Control:

   • It effectively neutralizes odors by breaking down odor-causing bacteria, leaving spaces fresh and clean without harsh chemical smells.

Sodium Hypochlorite (NaCl) Preparation

1. Check the Bottle:

   • Ensure there is no foreign matter inside the bottle.

2. Prepare the Salt Solution:

   • Place one spoon of salt, which measures exactly 1/8 teaspoon, into the measuring glass (do not exceed the edge of the spoon).
   • Add 1 and 1/3 cups of TAP WATER to the measuring glass and stir until the salt is completely dissolved. Do not use filtered, RO, or distilled water, as the chlorine in the tap water is necessary for activation.

3. Fill the Bottle:

   • Pour the dissolved salt solution into the bottle.
   • Add clean water up to the maximum water line.
   • Tighten the sprayer.

4. Activate the Machine:

   • Shake the bottle to mix the saline solution evenly.
   • Press the power button at the base. The buzzer will sound once, the indicator light will flash with changing colors, and bubbles will appear in the bottle, indicating that the machine is operating normally.

5. Caution:

   • The machine's base is the sodium hypochlorite generator, which is not waterproof. Do not rinse or soak it in water.

 The function of Sodium Hypochlorite (NaOCl) in Echo Clean:

1. Disinfection:

   • Sodium hypochlorite is a potent disinfectant that kills a broad spectrum of germs and viruses. It is particularly effective for more robust cleaning tasks like deep cleaning or environments with high sanitation levels. However, it is not suitable for surfaces that come into contact with food, skin, or sensitive areas.
     

     To ensure safety when using sodium hypochlorite on surfaces that come into contact with food or skin, it is important to consider the following:

     1. Drying alone is Not Sufficient for Food- or Skin-Contact Surfaces. Sodium hypochlorite residues can persist even after drying. Any remaining residues could pose potential health risks when the surface comes into contact with food or skin.

     2. Rinsing is Recommended: To ensure safety, the surface should be rinsed thoroughly with potable water after the sodium hypochlorite solution has dried. This is especially critical for food preparation surfaces or any surface likely to have direct contact with the skin.
        
        

2. Bleaching and Stain Removal:

   • NaOCl has strong bleaching properties, making it effective at removing stains and whitening surfaces. It can be used for tasks like cleaning grout and sanitizing heavily soiled areas. Sodium hypochlorite may or may not have a bleaching effect on fabrics. Always test the surface prior to use.

We all know how strong and sometimes harsh household bleach can be, right? Traditional bleach typically contains 5.25-6.25% chlorine; for sanitizing, you’re looking at 50-200 ppm.

Echo Clean™ Levels (Sorted by Cycles):

With just 1 scoop (1/8 tsp.) of kosher salt, you’re getting excellent cleaning power but with a lot less toxicity than traditional bleach. No need to hold your breath or worry about harsh chemical residues! Each cycle lasts for 3 minutes. Be sure to rest the machine for 5 minutes between cycles.

Echo Clean™ Chlorine Levels (Using Tap Water & No Salt):

Bonus: If you're using Echo Clean™ with tap water (no salt), it produces super low chlorine levels, from 5 to 25 ppm, while maintaining a stable, safe pH level. So it's perfect for gentle yet effective cleaning without worrying about damaging surfaces or overwhelming odors. Each cycle lasts for 3 minutes. Be sure to rest the machine for 5 minutes between cycles.

💧 Charging

Charging Process

•  The charging port is located in the back of the generator. Make sure only to use a 5V-2AH charging block (If the charging block you are using is larger than 2 amps or classified as a "fast" charger, you will experience charging issues.)
• The indicator light will display a red flashing light during charging and will turn off once charging is complete.  
• The colored lights that flash during production do not signify anything in particular. Enjoy the show!

Low Battery Alert

• If the red indicator light flashes for 5 seconds during operation, the battery is low and needs to be charged.

Regular maintenance is key to running your Echo Clean™ device smoothly and performing its best. By following this simple schedule, you'll extend the life of your generator and ensure every clean is fresh.

Routine Maintenance Cleaning: After Each Full Bottle Use

1. Disinfectant Removal:  After 5 days, empty any remaining disinfectant solution from the bottle to ensure freshness. Dispose of the solution safely by pouring it down a drain or onto a ground area where plants or living organisms will not be affected.
2. Disassemble: Gently unscrew the bottle housing from the base. Use a brush, warm, damp towel, or sponge to clean the threads and seal. (Be extra careful not to let any water get into the electrical ports.)
3. Rinse: Rinse the bottle housing with clean water and let it air dry completely. Do not usw the dishwasher – the bottle housing prefers the old-fashioned hand rinse! 
4. Reassemble: Once the bottle and base threads are clean and dry, reassemble your device, and you’ll be ready to create a fresh solution!

Monthly Deep Cleaning:

1. Clean the Bottle: Thoroughly rinse the bottle with clean water to remove any lingering residue.
2. Prepare a Cleaning Solution: Mix a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water, filling the bottle about 1/4 of the way.
3. Let It Soak: Let the vinegar solution sit for 1-2 hours (or overnight if there’s heavy buildup). This helps dissolve any gunk on the electrode.
4. Shake It Up: After soaking, give the bottle a good shake to dislodge any remaining debris.
5. Rinse Thoroughly: Pour out the vinegar solution and give the bottle another rinse with clean water.

Important Notes:

• Keep the Base Dry: The base of your Echo Clean™ device (which houses the generator) isn’t waterproof. Always keep the electrical port dry and avoid rinsing or soaking the base during cleaning.

• Monitor Performance: If your Echo Clean™ device starts to lose a bit of its cleaning magic or you notice a buildup of residue, you might want to do deep cleaning a little more frequently.
