🫧 How the Echo Revive™ Works
The Echo Revive™ Hydrogen Water Bath Machine uses electrolysis to separate water into hydrogen and oxygen, then delivers hydrogen into your bathwater.
The system is designed to operate using high-resistivity water (> 2 MΩ·cm) and follows a two-stage process:
-
Electrolysis Begins
Water is added to the electrolysis tank and the machine is powered on. During operation, the water molecules are separated into hydrogen ions (H+) and hydroxide ions (OH-).- At the anode: Hydroxide ions release oxygen (O₂). The oxygen exits through the oxygen outlet, and some accompanying water is returned to the tank for reuse.
- At the cathode: Hydrogen ions (H+) pass through the SPE ion membrane, where they gain electrons and form hydrogen gas (H₂).
-
Hydrogen Delivery
The hydrogen gas then passes through a gas-water mixing chamber, and the hydrogen exits through the hydrogen outlet and is introduced into the bath.

🫧 Echo Revive™ Usage Guidelines
The Echo Revive™ Hydrogen Water Bath Machine is designed to make hydrogen-enriched bathing a convenient addition to your wellness routine. Whether you're enjoying a warm, relaxing bath or incorporating hydrogen into your cold-plunge experience, following these recommendations can help you get the most from every session.
Recommended Session Times & Frequency
The Echo Revive™ offers adjustable hydrogen-generation cycles of 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes, allowing you to customize each session.
Research has explored hydrogen-rich bathing using relatively short sessions, including protocols involving approximately 15 minutes of exposure several times per week. However, there is no established ideal frequency or duration for every individual.
- Getting Started: Begin with a 15-minute hydrogen-generation cycle and adjust based on your preferences.
- Pre-Treatment: For a hydrogen-enriched bath prepared before entering, allow the machine to run for approximately 5 minutes.
- During Your Bath: You may enjoy your bath while the machine is operating, provided the equipment is properly positioned, electrical safety precautions are followed, and water flow remains unobstructed.
- Maximum Operating Time: Never operate the Echo Revive™ for more than 60 consecutive minutes. Longer operation may cause overheating or damage to internal components.
Important: The 60-minute limitation applies to the machine's continuous operating time, not necessarily the amount of time you spend bathing. Your bathing duration should also account for water temperature, comfort, and general bathing safety.
How Long Does Hydrogen Remain in Bath Water?
Molecular hydrogen is a dissolved gas that gradually escapes from water after hydrogen generation stops.
Research by Kikuchi and colleagues (2006 and 2007) examined hydrogen behavior in water and reported declining concentrations following electrolysis. The rate of hydrogen loss depends on several factors, including temperature, agitation, exposed surface area, and water conditions.
Hydrogen concentration may decrease substantially over approximately 1–3 hours, although this is not a guaranteed retention period for every bathtub or operating condition.
For the best opportunity to bathe while hydrogen is present, we recommend entering the bath shortly after hydrogen generation or enjoying your bath while the machine is operating safely.
Using the Echo Revive™ with Cold Plunges & Ice Baths
The Echo Revive™ can also be used to enrich cold-plunge and ice-bath water with molecular hydrogen.
Because hydrogen generally has greater solubility in colder water, lower temperatures may help retain dissolved hydrogen under certain conditions.
- Position the machine securely outside the cold-plunge tub.
- Ensure the intake and outlet tubing are correctly connected and submerged as instructed.
- Keep the machine's electrical components and connections dry.
- Follow the same maximum 60-minute operating limitation.
Please Note: The Echo Revive™ generates hydrogen but does not independently chill or regulate your bathtub's water temperature.
Bath Additives, Epsom Salts & Bath Products
The Echo Revive™ has been tested with certain bath additives, including Epsom salts and bath bombs containing organic dyes, without obvious immediate performance issues during those tests. However, compatibility cannot be guaranteed for every product or ingredient.
For the best results:
- Epsom Salts: If using Epsom salts, ensure they dissolve completely and follow the manufacturer's recommendations.
- Bath Bombs: Avoid products that produce excessive foam, leave heavy residue, or contain particles that may clog the intake filter.
- Body Wash & Bubble Bath: Avoid using foaming products while the machine is operating, as foam and residue may interfere with water circulation.
- Oils & Heavy Additives: Avoid products that leave oily films, sediment, or deposits in the tubing and filter.
If you wish to use body wash or other cleansing products, we recommend waiting until the hydrogen-generation cycle has finished and the machine has been turned off.
After Using Bath Additives: Rinse the removable water-contact accessories thoroughly with clean water. If additional flushing is necessary, follow the approved cleaning instructions in this manual.
Water Quality Reminder: Pre-filtering bathtub water is optional, but it may reduce certain impurities depending on the filtration system used. Hydrogen enrichment does not remove contaminants or make bathwater safer for consumption or bathing.

2. Machine Will Not Power On
If your Echo Revive™ does not respond when the main power switch is turned ON, begin by checking the electrical connection.
Common Symptoms:
- The red power switch indicator does not illuminate.
- The touchscreen remains dark.
- The internal water pump does not start when an operating cycle is selected.
Possible Causes:
- The power cord is disconnected or improperly seated.
- The wall outlet or surge protector is not supplying power.
- The GFCI outlet or circuit breaker has tripped.
- An internal electrical component requires service.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Turn the main power switch to OFF.
- Verify that the power cord is securely connected to the machine and the electrical outlet.
- Check the outlet using another compatible electrical device.
- If using a surge protector, confirm that it is functioning properly.
- Check whether the GFCI outlet or circuit breaker has tripped.
- Reconnect power and turn the machine ON.
- If the machine still does not respond, turn it OFF and unplug it.
3. Water Leaking at the Tubing Connection
Possible Cause: A loose connection, improperly seated washer, or damaged fitting.
If you notice water dripping from the area where the tubing connects to the machine, the connection may not be properly sealed.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Turn off and unplug the machine.
- Locate the leaking connection at the IN or OUT port on the front panel.
- Inspect the chrome connection nut for looseness.
- Check that the washer or gasket is properly seated and does not appear damaged.
- If the fitting uses a threaded compression connection, carefully tighten the chrome nut using an adjustable wrench.
- Tighten approximately ⅛ to ¼ turn clockwise, only if needed.
- Avoid applying excessive force.
- Check that the tubing is securely attached and properly aligned.
- Restart the machine and monitor the connection for additional leakage.
Important: Do not overtighten the fitting. Excessive tightening may damage the connector, washer, or threads.
If leakage continues after the connection has been checked, stop operation and contact Echo Water Support.
4. Blue Water Indicator Does Not Fill
Possible Cause: Insufficient water in the internal reservoir, improper filling, or trapped air within the system.
If the blue water indicator does not fill as expected, the machine may not have enough water or the system may not be properly primed.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Turn off and unplug the machine.
- Check that the internal water tank contains the required amount of approved high-purity water.
- If the tank was filled incorrectly, drain it using the designated drain port.
- Refill the tank according to the Echo Revive™ Setup Guide.
- Ensure the water reaches the correct fill-level indicators without overfilling.
- Secure the tank cover and drain plug.
- Restart the machine and check the water indicator.
Reminder: Always use the approved distilled or deionized water specified for the internal electrolysis tank.
If the indicator remains empty after refilling, contact Echo Water Support for additional assistance.
5. Decreased or Weak Water Flow
Possible Cause: Debris, mineral deposits, or other buildup restricting the intake filter, outlet diffuser, or circulation tubing.
Over time, impurities from bathwater may accumulate on the removable accessories and restrict normal circulation.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Turn off and unplug the machine.
- Remove the stainless steel outlet diffuser from the tubing.
- Inspect the diffuser openings for visible debris or mineral buildup.
- Rinse the diffuser thoroughly with warm, clean water.
- Inspect and rinse the inlet filter as well.
- Check both tubes for kinks, obstructions, or visible residue.
- Reinstall the accessories securely.
- Restart the machine and check whether normal water circulation has returned.
Removing Stubborn Mineral Buildup
We recommend soaking the stainless steel diffuser in white vinegar for 24 hours to help dissolve mineral deposits.
After athe vinegar soak, rinse the component thoroughly with clean water before reinstalling.
Helpful Tip: The reusable mesh filter should be inspected regularly, especially when using bath additives or water containing minerals.
6. Bathwater Appears Clear Instead of Cloudy or Milky
During hydrogen generation, fine bubbles may give the water near the outlet a cloudy or milky appearance.
If the water appears unusually clear and circulation seems reduced, the pump may contain trapped air or may not be moving water properly.
Possible Cause: An air pocket within the circulation system, sometimes associated with air binding or cavitation.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Confirm that the machine is operating and that the tubing is correctly connected.
- Check that the inlet filter is completely submerged.
- Inspect the tubes for bends, kinks, or obstructions.
- Ensure the intake filter and outlet diffuser are clean.
- Stop the machine, correct any visible circulation problems, and restart.
- Observe the outlet for normal water movement and bubble activity.
7. Inlet Filter Floats or Will Not Stay Submerged
Possible Cause: Air trapped inside the inlet filter or tubing, incorrect positioning, or tension from the tubing pulling the filter toward the surface.
The blue inlet filter must remain submerged in the bathtub water so the machine can draw water into the circulation system.
If the filter floats above the waterline, the pump may draw in air instead of water, interrupting circulation.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Turn off the machine before adjusting the tubing.
- Check that the inlet tube is not kinked, pinched, or twisted.
- Carefully position the blue inlet filter completely beneath the water.
- Orient the filter so its intake opening faces upward, as described in the original setup procedure.
- Hold it submerged for approximately 5 seconds to allow trapped air to escape.
- Release the filter gently and observe whether it remains submerged.
- Make sure the tubing has enough slack and is not pulling the filter toward the surface.
If the filter continues floating:
- Turn off the machine.
- Remove the inlet filter from the tubing.
- Rinse the filter thoroughly and inspect it for obstructions.
- Reattach it securely.
- Reposition the filter underwater before restarting the machine.
Important: Never allow the pump to operate continuously while the inlet filter is above the waterline.
If the filter will not remain submerged or water circulation does not resume, contact Echo Water Support.
