❓ Frequently Asked Question

Q: Can I install the Echo H2 Machine on the counter but connect it to the waterline under my sink instead of the faucet?

A: Yes, you can! However, if you purchased the above-counter installation setup, you’ll need to purchase an additional fitting to connect directly to the waterline:

  • You will need an angle stop T-valve with the following specifications:
    3/8" x 3/8" x 1/4"

⚠ Note: This T-valve is not included in the above-counter setup and must be purchased separately. Echo Water only provides it with the under-counter setup.

🔩Under-Counter Installation

  1. Required Equipment

    • 🔗Echo H2 Faucet (vented faucet with three water lines: red, blue, white).
⚠ Important: Aftermarket faucets will not pressurize correctly and cause your machine to break, voiding your warranty.

  2. Turn Off Water Supply: Shut off the source water before installation.

  3. Connect the 1/4" Hose

    • Loosen the nut on the water source valve.

    • Connect the hose to the “T” adapter (Figure 2).

    • Push and fasten the hose into the water inlet at the bottom of the machine (Figure 3).

  4. Open Water Supply and Adjust Pressure
Open the valve and adjust water pressure as needed (Figure 4).

  5. Check for Leaks
Inspect connections immediately and check periodically (at least once a month) under the sink for leaks.

* Check for leaks on the connections part after installation is completed. Periodically check under the sink for leaks about once every month.

Please check the following before contacting Technical Support.
If the issue persists, call (855) 737-1114 or email: support@echowater.com

1. Power & Display Issues

🔧No Display in Standby Mode

Check:

  • Is the power cord plugged in?

  • Is the master power switch ON?

  • Is the fuse intact and properly installed?

Fix:

  • Connect the power cord securely.

  • Turn the power switch ON (| = on, O = off).

  • Replace the fuse (250V/2A).

    • Location: The fuse is a black circle with a notch, located to the right of the on/off switch.
    • How to remove: Use a screwdriver in the notch, then rotate counterclockwise about 1/4 turn to release it. It will pop out, allowing you to pull it out with your fingers.
    • How to check: If the fuse has an intact wire running from end to end, it’s good. If the wire inside appears broken or burnt, it needs to be replaced with the spare fuse.
  • Reinstall fuse holder correctly.

🔧Machine Does Not Turn On Despite Water Supply

Check:

  • Are you using a genuine TAG filter?

  • Is the filter registered?

  • Check power switch, fuse, and outlet.

Fix:

  • Replace with an authentic filter and ensure it is fully rotated to register.

  • Turn on the master switch.

  • Verify outlet is functional.

  • Inspect and replace the fuse if needed.

    • Location: The fuse is a black circle with a notch, located to the right of the on/off switch.

  3. Remove the Knob Cover

    1. Insert the knife under one of the small rectangular tabs on the knob cover.

    2. Pry the cover up gently, taking care not to break the securing tabs.

  4. Remove the Center Screw Cover

    1. Locate the rubber plug in the center of the knob assembly.

    2. Gently remove it using a butter knife or a small screwdriver (like one used for eyeglass repairs).

  5. Adjust and Tighten the Knob

    1. Turn the knob to the OFF position.

    2. Make sure the knob assembly is pushed all the way toward the valve.

    3. Tighten the center screw until snug. Do not overtighten, as this can damage the assembly.

  6. Check Washers and Alignment

    1. Ensure both small washers are properly positioned on the valve face.

    2. Confirm the plastic knob is aligned so the line indicator on the knob cover correctly points to OFF and ON when reassembled.

  7. Replace the Center Screw Cover: Snap the rubber plug back over the screw.

  8. Reinstall the Rubber Ring: Place the ring around the knob assembly, aligning the rib with the forward side of the knob track.

  9. Reattach the Knob Cover
