Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your Echo Flask™. Follow the instructions below for effective cleaning.
Procedure
1. Cleaning the Bottle Housing and Cap
-
Hand Wash Only:
- Use warm water and a non-abrasive dish detergent to clean the bottle housing and cap.
- Avoid abrasive cloths or sponges to prevent scratches on the surface.
-
Cap Cleaning – Focus on the Seals:
- Remove the seals from the cap carefully, as they can tear easily.
- Gently clean the cap and the area beneath the seals using a cap brush or Q-tip to remove any buildup.
- Reinsert the seals securely after cleaning.
-
Protect the Pressure Release Valve:
- To prevent potential damage, ensure that water does not enter the valve located in the inner center of the cap.
2. Generator Care
-
Avoid Soapy Water or Detergents:
- Do not add soapy water or use any detergent to clean the generator (the bottom piece).
- For safe cleaning, follow the recommended cleaning procedures (e.g., vinegar and water solution).
-
Keep Components Dry:
- Ensure the generator’s electrical components and charging port remain completely dry during cleaning.
Important Notes
-
Never Use a Dishwasher: Do not place the Echo Go/Go+ or its components in the dishwasher, as this will cause damage that is not covered under warranty.
- Do Not Submerge the Cap: Submerging the cap may allow water to seep through the pressure release valve, potentially causing malfunctions.
Follow these cleaning instructions weekly to maintain your Echo Water bottle's performance, prevent mineral buildup, and avoid damage. Proper care ensures your bottle continues functioning as intended for years.
