Echo Go+ Battery and Charging Guide

Proper charging habits help maximize battery performance and extend the life of your Echo Go+™.

Charging Requirements

The Echo Go+™ should only be charged using:

✅ 5V / 2A Charging Block

✅ USB-A to USB-C Charging Cable

Do Not Use

❌ USB-C to USB-C charging cables

❌ Apple-branded fast chargers

❌ Lightning chargers

❌ Quick Charge (QC) adapters

❌ USB-PD (Power Delivery) chargers

❌ Any charging block rated above 2A or marketed as a "fast charger"

Using an incompatible charger may result in charging issues and can potentially damage the battery over time.

How to Charge Your Go+™

  1. Locate the charging port on the back of the generator.
  2. Connect a USB-A to USB-C charging cable.
  3. Plug the cable into a 5V / 2A charging block.
  4. Plug the charging block directly into a wall outlet.
  5. Allow the bottle to charge until the charging indicator shows a full charge (green light).

Charging Time

A full charge typically takes approximately 2–4 hours, depending on the current battery level.

Once fully charged, disconnect the charger.

Battery Performance

A fully charged Echo Go+™ typically provides approximately:

  • 5–10 hydrogenation cycles per charge
  • Depending on cycle length and usage habits

To preserve battery health, avoid running the bottle continuously while it remains plugged into the charger.

Avoid Overcharging

To help maximize battery lifespan:

✔ Remove the charger once the battery is fully charged.

✔ Avoid charging for more than 4 hours at a time.

Accidentally Left It Plugged In?

Don't worry. If your Go+™ was accidentally left charging for longer than recommended but is still operating normally, there is no immediate cause for concern.

Simply resume normal charging practices moving forward to help preserve long-term battery health.

Experiencing Charging Issues?

If your Echo Go+™ is not charging properly, use the troubleshooting steps below to identify and resolve the issue.

Battery Not Charging

If the battery level does not increase while charging, check the following:

Verify the Charging Cable

A damaged or faulty cable can prevent charging.

  • Inspect the USB-A to USB-C cable for signs of damage.
  • Try a different USB-A to USB-C cable if available.
  • Most standard aftermarket USB-A to USB-C cables are compatible.

Check All Connections

Loose connections are a common cause of charging issues.

  • Ensure the USB-C end is fully inserted into the Go+™ charging port.
  • Confirm the USB-A end is securely connected to the charging block.
  • Verify that neither connection is loose or intermittently disconnecting.

Confirm You're Using a Compatible Charging Block

The Echo Go+™ requires a standard charging block.

Recommended:

  • 5V / 2A Charging Block

Avoid:

  • Fast chargers
  • High-output charging blocks
  • USB-C Power Delivery (PD) chargers
  • Quick Charge (QC) adapters

Using an incompatible charger may prevent the battery from charging properly.

Test Another Outlet

  • Plug the charging block directly into a wall outlet.
  • Avoid power strips, extension cords, surge protectors, or USB hubs while troubleshooting.
  • Test a different outlet to rule out a power source issue.

Charging Stops Intermittently

If charging starts and stops unexpectedly:

Check for Loose Connections

  • Ensure both ends of the charging cable are firmly connected.
  • Inspect the cable for wear or damage that may cause intermittent charging.

Allow the Device to Cool

If the bottle becomes warm during charging:

  • Unplug the device.
  • Allow it to cool to room temperature.
  • Resume charging once cooled.

Slow Charging

If the battery is charging but taking longer than expected:

Verify Charger Compatibility

Using the wrong charging block may significantly increase charging times.

Use only:

  • 5V / 2A Charging Block
  • USB-A to USB-C Cable

Inspect for Damage

Check for:

  • Bent charging port pins
  • Debris in the charging port
  • Damaged charging cables
  • Damaged charging blocks

If damage is found, discontinue use and contact Customer Support.

No Charging Indicator Lights

If no charging lights appear when the bottle is plugged in:

Check Battery Level First

The bottle may already be fully charged. Verify the battery level on the display:

  • Four battery bars indicate a full charge.
  • When fully charged, charging indicator lights may not activate.

Possible Indicator Light Issue

If the battery is not charging and the indicator lights are not functioning properly, additional troubleshooting may be required.

Please contact Customer Support for assistance.

Charging Best Practices

For optimal battery performance:

✔ Use a 5V / 2A charging block

✔ Use a USB-A to USB-C charging cable

✔ Charge directly from a wall outlet

✔ Disconnect the charger once fully charged

✔ Avoid fast chargers and high-output adapters

Following these recommendations will help maximize battery life and ensure reliable charging performance.
