2. Installing O-Rings on Your Echo RO
For extra peace of mind, you can install O-Rings on your Echo RO. These help prevent leaks and ensure a secure seal around the T33 filter. Note: O-Rings are not included with your Echo RO and are optional.
Step 1: Remove the T33 Filter
Remove the top cover of the system.
Locate the T33 filter (the 4th and final filter in line).
Turn it ¼ turn counterclockwise to unlock.
Gently pull the filter straight out.
Step 2: Install the O-Rings
Open the O-ring bag and remove two O-rings.
Identify the two water ports on the bottom of the T33 filter.
Slide one O-ring onto each port, pushing them down fully so they sit securely at the base.
Step 3: Reinstall the T33 Filter
Position the filter with the number facing the right side (when viewing the front display).
Push down firmly to create a snug seal.
Turn the filter ¼ turn clockwise until it locks into place.
Step 4: Clear Any Leak Alerts
If a leak alert remains on, it may be caused by residual moisture around the sensor.
Allow the unit to dry completely. The alert should clear once dry.
Troubleshooting a Suspected Leak
If you still suspect a leak:
Turn off the source water.

Check tubing connections:
Disconnect and reconnect the tubes, ensuring they are pushed in firmly.
If the seal is loose, cut ¼ inch off the end of the tube with a razor blade (no scissors) and reconnect.
Repeat for both the tube connected to the angle stop valve and the tube going to the RO system.
Check the connection to the RO unit and ensure it is secure.
Ensure the cold water angle stop valve is fully open.
