Once you sign up in the app, you’ll be redirected to pair your Flask.
Step 1: Your app will search for nearby devices
- If your flask is not found, you can search again.
- Ensure the following:
✅ Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
✅ Your phone and flask are close to each other.
Not Pairing? Try these Solutions:
1. Try manually putting Your Flask in Pairing Mode: Before connecting, ensure your Echo Flask™ is in pairing mode.
- On your Flask go to settings (gear icon ⚙️).
- Select "Not Paired" to begin the connection process.
2. Confirm Your Flask’s Connection Status
- The Bluetooth symbol in the upper left corner will indicate connection status:
- White = Not connected
- Teal = Paired and connected
3. Check your App Specific Bluetooth Settings
Even if Bluetooth is turned on at the phone level, it may still be disabled specifically for the app.
- Go to your iPhone settings
- Use the search bar at the top and type "Echo Water"
- Tap on the Echo Water app
- Make sure Bluetooth is toggled ON for the app
4. Is Your Echo Flask™ is already paired with another device?
- Check your flask’s pairing status on the flask itself - go to settings (gear icon ⚙️).
- If it is already paired with another device, unpair it, then reconnect it to your desired device.
5. Is your Flask showing Paired but your app says it's not?
- Close the Echo Water App and wait about an hour
- When you return, your flask should show as "Unpaired" and you can restart the pairing process
- Reconnect your Flask
Step 2: You will select the Device you want to connect
- Select the Flask you are wanting to connect
- Have more than one? The screen on the Flask you select will light up so you know you’ve chosen the right one.
Step 3: Name your Flask
Step 4: Connection Complete!
Your Flask is now connected—tap Complete to finish.
🛠️Additional FAQs and Solutions
My Flask doesn't stay paired
Why your Flask might show “Not Paired”
-
It's connected to your app, not your phone: If your flask is saying unpaired, this usually depends on whether the app is open and logged in. Unlike AirPods, which pair directly with your phone, your Echo Flask connects specifically to the app.
- If the app isn’t running in the background, your Flask may show as “Not Paired” with a white Bluetooth icon. But once you open the app, it should automatically reconnect and show as paired again.
-
Lost Connection: When the Echo Flask is paired with the app and both are left idle overnight, they can lose connection.
- In some cases, the app won’t automatically reconnect to the flask until a hydrogen cycle is manually started — once the cycle begins, the app detects the flask and reconnects. Please try running a cycle from your flask to get your app to recognize your flask again.
-
Next step: Make sure everything’s updated
- Updating the app and your Flask’s firmware can often clear up connectivity bugs. If you haven’t already, please make sure both the app and your Flask’s firmware are up to date

✅ Good to know: Even if the app is temporarily experiencing issues, your Flask will continue producing hydrogen normally. You can keep using it with confidence while improvements are rolled out.
App-related issues are not covered under warranty unless they affect the functionality of your Flask. Most app issues can be resolved without impacting Flask performance.
