How do I know which Whole Home Filtration System is right for me?

Start With Understanding Your Water

Before choosing any type of water treatment, it’s important to first understand what’s actually in your water.

If your home is on municipal (city) water, Echo offers a Personalized Water Quality Analysis Report that identifies what may be present in the water supply serving your area. (if you are on well-water, keep scrolling!)

🔗Generate your Water Quality Analysis report here

This report is built using current water testing data for your local municipality and helps give you a clearer picture of what may be in the water entering your home.

How to Access Your Water Quality Analysis

To generate your personalized report, you first will complete a short 1-minute survey.

You’ll be asked a few quick questions about:

• Where you live
• How water enters your home
• Whether you use city water or private well water

What Happens After the Survey

Once the survey is finished:

1️⃣ A short educational video will walk you through how to understand the results while your report is being generated.

2️⃣ Your personalized water quality report will be generated and available to download.

3️⃣ If you’d like additional guidance, you’ll also have the option to speak with one of our water quality specialists to review the findings and discuss potential solutions.

While the report gives helpful data, what’s most important is understanding what it actually means for your health and home. 🔗Book Analysis Review.

Taking a moment to understand your water is the first step toward making informed decisions about improving it.

💧 What This Report Includes

Your personalized report is built using the most recent city water testing data available in our national database. Every municipality in the U.S. conducts annual testing and updates their public reports — we analyze that data and break it down in a way that’s simple and meaningful for you.

During your review, we will:

  • Walk you through what is currently being detected in your city’s water
  • Explain potential health risks associated with certain contaminants
  • Highlight chlorine byproducts and what they can mean long-term
  • Answer all of your questions clearly and honestly

Our goal is education and transparency — not pressure.

🔬 How Our Analysis Is Different

Standard water reports can be difficult to interpret and often focus only on whether contaminants fall within “legal limits.” Our analysis goes deeper.

We focus on:

  • Long-term exposure risks
  • Cumulative health impact
  • Disinfection byproducts created by chlorine
  • Emerging contaminants that may not yet be regulated

“Within legal limits” does not always mean optimal for long-term health — and we help you understand that difference.

🚰 If You’re on Well Water

If you are on private well water, municipal data does not apply. In that case, we will recommend a professional lab test so you can get an accurate, property-specific analysis. Well water requires direct testing — and we can guide you through that process.

The cost of this test can be credited toward a whole-home system if you decide to move forward.

We typically recommend using NTL Labs—they’re certified, cost-effective, and easy to work with. You can order a test directly from them and send us the results, and we’ll walk you through exactly what it means and what system would be best.

Additional Contaminant Questions to Consider

  1. Are there particular contaminants you’re concerned about, such as chlorine, nitrates, heavy metals, or sediment?

  2. Do you notice any issues with taste, odor, or water hardness?

  3. What is your main goal — clean drinking water, whole-home filtration, or both?

  4. Are you looking for just purified water, or are you interested in added benefits like hydrogen-rich water for wellness?

🏠 Why Echo Water?

Certification matters.

Echo Whole Home Filters are NSF/ANSI 53 certified for reducing contaminants that affect health. Our dense carbon block filters trap more impurities than standard granular filters, giving cleaner, safer water with consistent performance.

This isn’t about selling you something you don’t need — it’s about helping you understand what would actually make a difference for your home.

📅 Why Schedule Your Review?

Your report gives you information. Your review gives you clarity.

On the call, you’ll gain:

  • A full understanding of what’s in your water
  • Clear answers about potential health concerns
  • Confidence in what (if anything) needs to be improved
  • A customized plan if you decide to move forward

Even if you choose to do nothing, you’ll walk away more informed — and that peace of mind matters.

Sizing and Install Information Matter

While knowing what contaminants are in your water is crucial, ensuring your filtration system is properly sized and installed is equally important. The right setup affects water flow, performance, and overall efficiency. Answering a few key questions about your home and planned installation helps make sure your system works exactly as it should.

Sizing Questions

To get the correct system size, consider:

  • How many people live in your home?

  • What is the square footage of your home?

  • How many kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms are in use?

  • Do you entertain frequently or have higher water usage needs?

Installation Questions

Proper installation is just as important as sizing. Key considerations include:

  • Where will the system be installed (basement, garage, outside)?

  • Is installation happening soon or in the future?

  • How much physical space is available for the system?

  • Is a drain available to handle up to 10GPM?

  • Is there unswitched 110VAC power nearby?

  • What is the size of the main water line (e.g., 3/4", 1", 1 1/4")? This ensures the right connection and maintains proper flow.

Let Us Take the Stress Off You

By addressing both the contaminants in your water and the practical sizing and installation details, you’ll get a system that performs optimally and keeps your home’s water safe, clean, and convenient to use.

We have Whole Home Specialists available to help you figure out the best system for your home. They can guide you through sizing, installation options, and choosing the right system to match your family’s needs — making the process simple and stress-free.
