What would I use the hydrogen water for?
Hydrogen water is perfect for everyday hydration. Because adding molecular hydrogen (H₂) does not significantly raise or lower the pH, the water remains essentially the same pH as your source water. That means it's suitable for drinking throughout the day and can also be used when taking medications, unless your healthcare provider has given you different instructions.
Molecular hydrogen has also been the subject of a growing body of scientific research exploring its potential health and wellness benefits. While research is ongoing, many people choose to incorporate hydrogen water into their daily routine as part of an overall healthy lifestyle.

Echo Ultimate™ Cleaning & Maintence Instructions
Regular cleaning is one of the best ways to keep your Echo Ultimate performing at its best for years to come. Using a cleaning cartridge helps remove mineral deposits, sediment, and other buildup that can naturally accumulate inside the machine over time. Keeping these internal components clean helps maintain optimal performance, supports consistent water quality, reduces unnecessary wear on the machine's internal mechanisms, and helps keep your warranty coverage intact.
Cleaning cartridges are sold separately and can be purchased anytime on our website here:
📘 Echo Cleaning Cartridge
For even greater convenience, we also offer subscription options so replacement cleaning cartridges are delivered when it's time for routine maintenance. It's an easy way to stay on schedule and help protect your investment without having to remember to reorder.
Recommended Frequency:
Twice per year for normal water conditions
Every 3 months in areas with hard water
Using a Cleaning Cartridge
Turn off the unit completely.
Remove the main TAG filter and place it in a container to catch any water.
Install the cleaning cartridge in place of the main filter.
-
Turn on the water (ON position) to let water flow through the machine until it exits from the top. Run each water setting for at least 30 seconds:
- Hydrogen (H₂)
- Alkaline
- Acidic
- Filtered
- Turn off the water and let the unit sit overnight for deep cleaning.
- The following day, remove the cleaning cartridge and reinstall your main TAG filter.
- Flush the unit by running filtered water for 3 minutes to remove any cleaning residue.
⚠️ If you see a "Non-authentic filter" message after installing the cleaning cartridge, don't worry—that's completely normal. Since the cleaning cartridge isn't your regular TAG filter, the unit may display that message temporarily.
- To clear it, simply:
- Turn the unit off and back on, or
- Temporarily reinstall your main TAG filter, then switch back if needed.
- A helpful tip: after you've completed the final 30-second flush on each setting, it's a good idea to discard that initial water. That ensures any remaining cleaning solution has been completely flushed from the system before you begin using it again.
Echo Ultimate™: Measuring the pH of the Water
✅ Note: Water quality and mineral content vary greatly in different Locations and will directly impact machine performance with respect to pH and hypochlorous acid production.
| Fill the test container provided about 1/2 full with alkaline, acidic, filtered water or H2 water. | |
|
Add two or three drops of the pH reagent into the container and stir. If the reagent and water are not mixed well, an incorrect reading may occur. |
|
| The pH value is determined by matching the color of the water to the pH color chart provided. A digital pH meter is more accurate than a reagent. |
Important Safety Protocols
- DO NOT consume a water-containing pH reagent.
- Keep the pH reagent Liquid and color chart away from open flames!
- If the liquid comes in contact with the eyes, flush liberally with fresh water and seek medical help.
- If ingested, induce vomiting and seek medical help.
FAQs and Solutions
pH test shows alkaline water color as neutral (7), while acidic water color turns yellow (6).
This is normal
Faulty or evaporated reagent: alkaline/acidity is always produced in inverse proportions. Therefore, showing an acidic color means that alkaline water has to be generated from the unit inversely. Lack of alkaline color can result from a chemical reaction where carbonic acid in water evaporates some of the test reagent elements.
- Test the pH value on level 3 or 4 water: replace the reagent.
- Test the TDS of the source water.
- The optimal TDS is 75-150 ppm.
